Since 2026, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) sets fuel prices daily using a 7-day rolling average of international oil prices, freight costs and the rupee-dollar exchange rate. The new price is notified around midnight and applies from 00:01.
Prices can change every day under the daily pricing mechanism. Rates stay unchanged on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
Yes — the notified ex-depot price is uniform nationwide. Small differences at individual pumps can occur due to local freight and dealer margins.
The notified price already includes government taxes and levies along with the base fuel cost calculated by OGRA.
