Chinese state-owned company BAIC (Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co., Ltd.) has launched the all-new BJ60 SUV in the Chinese market the latest addition to its rich SUV lineup sports a hybrid powertrain. The BAIC BJ60 is a full-size three-row cabin with lots of techs and a mix-and-match design that compete with the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, Trumpchi GS8, and GWM Tank 500. Unlike most of its crossover-SUV competitors, the BJ60 is a true four-wheel-drive body-on-frame off-road SUV. It looks smoother and more refined than BJ40.

BAIC BJ60 has a boxy shape in contrast to its smaller counterpart. It features strong profile lines, a massive silhouette, and an enormous stature that make an imposing SUV. Dimensions:

The Interior of BJ60 is simple and decent with a lot of straight lines, dual screens, and a black and white color scheme. The leather-wrapped steering wheel consists of steering control switches that can be easily adjusted by changing the angle for the driver’s ease. On the dashboard, it has a digital instrument cluster, a 12-inch freestanding infotainment touchscreen, and a pixel-like display on the passenger side. There is also a HUD, rear air vents, 260-color interior ambient lighting premium audio system, heated seats, and a panoramic roof. Powertrain and Performance:

The BAIC BJ60 uses a 2-liter turbocharged ICE under the hood paired with a mild hybrid (48V) system. The hybrid powertrain generates 267 hp (196 kW) and 406Nm of torque. It comes with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and a top speed of 180 km/h. According to BAIC, the BJ60 can accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 6 seconds and has an 85L fuel tank. It also claimed a driving range of 1,000 km with a 35L auxiliary tank. The BJ60 features four-wheel drive front, AWD, mid, and rear differential lock, as well as 9 different drive modes and a host of off-road focused systems that enhance its capability off the track.
